Kelly Slater's Quiver for Snapper Rocks 2011
It’s official! Kelly is heading to snapper for the first event of the World Tour in 2011. This year, he has put a lot of thought and energy into his quiver. For the last several years he has been working toward designing a particular board for each spot on tour. This year we just might see this come into fruition. He has a great handle on what his boards feel like at each spot, making slight adjustments to them for each type of each venue will be key!
From left to right:
- 5’5″ x 18 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ Wizard Sleeve, squash tail
- 5’9″ x 18 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ Semi Pro, rounded pin, a copy of his magic Semi Pro from his 10th World Title Campaign
- 5’9″ x 18 3/8″ Semi Pro, with a slightly wider nose outline
- 5’9″ x 18 3/4″ x 2 5/16″ “Combo Platter”, The Semi Pro-Whip. A board specifically blended for the bank at snapper. Swallow tail.
All these boards are tri/quad option FCS. Kelly also is taking several more but, these are a few that stood out to us in his quiver.
