Texas born photographer Jim Metyko (@metykojimmy) was the unlikely documentarian of a very pivotal time in surfing. Surfer magazine recently published a well done article on the then 20-year-old photographer that intimately captured the early days at Channel Islands Surfboards with Al, Tommy and the whole crew.
