ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGY
Channel Islands offers a number of its high Performance models available in XTR technology. XTR is extruded polystyrene (a closed cell styrofoam Blank), this means it does not absorb water even if dinged. Glassed with epoxy resin, using a new
patented technology which releases built up gas thus reducing delamination. Al has been testing his designs in this technology for five years and the result is an extremely high performance surfboard, providing a very lively feel and riding slightly more buoyant than a standard polyurethane board.
