PICK UP 3 :: Enviro Cause

I’ve lived and played around the ocean since I was born. My first two years were spent cruising the clear, clean waters of the south pacific on a sailboat that my family and I lived on. Now I’m 12 years old and I live in a small beach town in San Diego, California. My days are filled with enjoying the water and beaches of my town. I love to surf, swim, paddle, body-board, snorkel or just relax on the beach. Sometimes when I’m at the beach I notice something unfortunate. The beach and water are not as clean as they should be. I came up with Pick Up 3, my nonprofit organization, to help solve this problem. It’s really a simple idea. All people have to do is pick up three pieces of trash every time they visit the beach. Yes, it’s simple, but it works.

My goal with this website is to get the word out to coastal cities around the world. I want everybody to be able to learn about my idea so they can be inspired and pass their knowledge onto others. If people across the world pick up 3, our beaches and water could be healthier and more beautiful, providing a better home for animals and a more enjoyable place for people. I’ve been lucky. I’ve been able to experience many of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I want everyone else to know what it feels like to be in such a wonderful place!
